THE Community Leaders Program

About

Our Mission

At Moss Park Chronicles, we are dedicated to making a positive impact in the Moss Park neighbourhood. Through Building Roots' Community Leaders (CL) Program, we aim to empower individuals and foster community building. Our unique initiative, started in 2019 by Building Roots, focuses on place-based assets to create collaborative and people-centered approaches. We provide training and leadership opportunities that align with participants' interests, ensuring a strong foundation for community development.

Born and raised in Kampala, Uganda, in one of the slums, I have been taught empathy and kindness from a young age. My humble background has taught me the importance of giving back to others and making a positive impact in the community. Hence, I am delighted to now be a community leader. Certainly, being a product of humble beginnings then becoming a beacon of hope in our Community is nothing short of inspirational.
